Snow Days are Over... and St. Patrick's Day Freebie

Well, our snow days are over...we hope. It was fun to have snow days, but it is nice to get back into the swing of things at school.

Spring seems to be in the air because we have daffodils blooming in our back yard!

Since St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, you may be interested in this writing resource dealing with the ever-mischievous leprechaun.

Here is a preview of some of the pages.

I copied this poster onto bright green paper as a reference for the students.

The students will be glad to write the sequence of events with this flapbook. Then they can open up the flap to draw a corresponding illustration.

The scaffolding on this "next step" in the writing process really helps to provide differentiation for my students.

This is the page for publishing. It can be used with either set of organizers.

This poster includes the transitional word, "however," for the stories that have a twist or an interesting fact at the end. There are organizers included that match this poster as well.
